We have signed a contract with PGE Baltica, a company of the PGE Group, for the conceptual design of the Baltica 1 offshore wind farm.
The scope of the conceptual design includes performing electrical analyses, including steady-state and fault power flow, short-circuit analyses, or preliminary harmonic analyses. At the same time, cost and reliability analyses are performed.
The resulting documentation will be used for further design work on the power output of the Baltica 1 offshore wind farm.
The PGE Group's offshore program includes the construction of the Baltica offshore wind farm in two phases - Baltica 2 and Baltica 3 - with a total installed capacity of up to 2.5 GW by 2030. These projects will be developed together with Ørsted. After 2030, the Baltica 1 wind farm with a capacity of approximately 0.9 GW will be added to the Group's portfolio. The Baltica 1 OWF project, with a capacity of approximately 0.9 GW, is one of three projects currently under construction by the PGE Group in the Baltic Sea, located approximately 80 km from the coast, near the town of Leba in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The project already has a siting permit and a connection agreement, and has completed its first full year of wind, ocean current and wave testing. The Baltica 1 offshore wind farm will be operational after 2030.
