On August 23, 75 years ago, the history of EPK began in a barrack on Sokolska Street in Katowice, opposite the bus station.
The decree of the Minister of Mining and Energy, which came into force on August 23, established the Energy Project Office "Energoprojekt" with its headquarters in Warsaw and offices in Warsaw, Katowice, Krakow, Poznan and Lodz.

75 years. A lot of time. 75 years of work for the current form of the office, 900 months of advertising, 25 thousand days of creative work, almost 250 thousand hours spent on hundreds of projects. And behind it all, PEOPLE. For 75 years, almost 4,500 people have worked in "Energoprojekt-Katowice". Each and every one of them has contributed to building the current status and prestige of the company. Times change and so do market conditions, we have gone through privatization, the turbulent nineties and the difficult beginning of the 21st century. Our clients are constantly looking for optimal solutions to their problems and require us to act promptly in the execution of concepts, feasibility studies, preliminary designs and, after their approval, in the execution of construction and detailed designs. Recent years have been a time of dynamic changes in the reality around us, including the Polish energy sector. Concern for climate protection, further tightening of emission regulations, changing attitudes towards coal, gas, new technologies - all this makes our office constantly change, develop. Further development of the company is possible only thanks to the people working in EPK.
